Job Description

1. Position Summary:  The Analyst collaborates with other technical associates in research to perform routine scientific investigations assigned by more experiences researchers or management. The primary duty of this position is to analyze, interpret, and report data using various instruments and methods on a variety of sample materials for the completion of internal and external projects.
2. Significant Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 
   • Employee will be asked to apply professional scientific/technical competence
   • Hands-on sample materials processing
   • Reading technical literature
   • Assist with Report preparation
   • Assist with interpretation of relevant data
   • Communicating results both verbally and in writing with coworkers
   • Coordinating projects between various departments and outside vendors will be required when necessary

1. Minimum Qualifications Required:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have appropriate education, experience, and professional registrations.  Following is a list of required qualifications:
   • Education: A 4-year technical degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. In the interest of compliance with various regulatory agencies, additional educational requirements and rules may apply.
   • Experience:  Relevant experience may be substituted for education
   • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:  A keen interest in a fast-paced scientific learning environment with an emphasis on applying new skills, good written and oral communication skills, vast laboratory equipment knowledge, basic word processing skills, team-oriented work ethic, and procedural skills for the use of various laboratory instrumentation, data collection, reporting, research, and technical analysis skills are necessary.

   • Instrumentation: As specified by department
   • Techniques/Procedures : As specified by laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and accredited and/or published methodologies.
