Currently Seeking Dietary Aides

The Echelon of Medina Assisted Living is seeking full-time and part-time dietary aides.

The Echelon of Medina is a private, family-owned facility located in the heart of Medina. Comfort, care, and community are hallmarks of The Echelon experience, which caters to the evolving needs of older adults. Following the medical model, The Echelon offers its members continuity of care from independent living, to assisted living, and to memory care, if needed.

As a dietary aide, the primary purpose of your job position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dining Services Manager and or Cook, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Deals tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Follows oral and written instructions.
• Maintains the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Must posses the patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Cooking experience preferred
• Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, and climbing.
