We are looking for reliable and motivated Kitchen Helpers to join the team at a popular restaurant in Gozo , known for its welcoming atmosphere and quality cuisine. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to gain experience in a busy kitchen environment.
As a Kitchen Helper, you will support the kitchen staff in day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth and efficient preparation of meals. This includes assisting with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
Portion and package food items as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Dispose of waste and follow proper sanitation procedures
Restock supplies and ingredients in the kitchen and storage areas
Ensure that food handling and storage practices meet health and safety standards
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality meal preparation
Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is an asset but not essential
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A strong work ethic and attention to detail
Possession of a valid Skill Pass or willingness to obtain one is required
