Job Description
6+ Years of Exp.The Development Product Owner for the Data project will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of Data Warehousing(DW) solutions, ensuring that the development team builds features and capabilities aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Vision:
o Define and communicate the product vision for the DW solution in alignment with the overall business strategy.
o Ensure that the vision and roadmap support business goals and drive data-related decision-making processes.
o Act as the key point of contact between stakeholders (business, data engineers, analysts, etc.) and the development team.
2. Stakeholder Management:
o Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, understand the data needs, priorities are accurately captured and understood by the development team.
o Work with senior leadership to align priorities, expectations, and ensure that the product roadmap reflects organizational goals.
3. Product Backlog Management:
o Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with project goals, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
o Clearly define user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases for the development team.
4. DW Solution Design and Development:
o Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and technical teams to ensure that the DW solutions are built efficiently and effectively.
o Oversee the design and development of the data pipeline, ETL processes, data models, and data integration strategies.
5. Agile Project Management:
o Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in collaboration with the Scrum Master and development team.
o Track progress and make adjustments to timelines and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
6. Testing and Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that appropriate testing processes are in place, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
o Work with QA teams to validate that the delivered solution meets business requirements and quality standards.
7. Release and Deployment:
o Coordinate the release process to ensure that new DW features are deployed smoothly and ensure that post-release issues are quickly identified and resolved.
8. Documentation and Training:
o Ensure comprehensive product documentation (including user guides, technical documentation, and API specifications) is created and maintained.
o Provide training and support to business users, data analysts, and other stakeholders on the new DW features and functionalities.
9. Continuous Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement efforts to refine the DW solutions and improve user experiences.
o Stay informed of emerging data technologies and industry best practices and incorporate into the product roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
o Bachelor'sMaster's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
o Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within a DW or business intelligence environment.
o Business knowledge on DW techs such as Snowflake, ETL, or similar technologies.
o Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (JIRA, Confluence).
o Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Experience working with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
o Analytical mindset with a focus on driving business value through data solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience with cloud-based DW platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and Financial services, PC Insurance
o Certification in Agile or Scrum Product Owner.
