Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate must have sustained expertise and technical skills as a Veterinary Assistant. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by delivering high quality veterinary medicine and patient care, creating a positive, and a low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Duties will include:
· Obtaining patient histories
· Maintaining medical records
· Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients
· Obtaining vitals - temperature, pulse, respirations
· Filling prescriptions
· Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
· Client communication
· Providing compassionate care, a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets
· Knowledge of veterinary medical terms and vaccine protocols are essential in this role.
